The Annual General Meeting 2011 is a mail meeting to be held on April 13th, 2012
Agenda
- Confirmation of the minutes of the previous AGM held on 15th December 2010.
- Election of officers. The following nominations have been received for the five executive positions.
As there are no contested positions, all are elected automatically.
- Denis Burnham for ASSTA President (Nominated by Roberto Togneri and Seconded by Shunichi Ishihara)
- Catherine Watson for ASSTA Secretary. (Nominated by Roberto Togneri and Seconded by Shunichi Ishihara)
- Roberto Togneri for Executive Member (Nominated by Shunichi Ishihara, Seconded by)
- Marija Tabain for Executive Member (Nominated by Shunichi Ishihara, Seconded by Roberto Togneri)
- Shunichi Ishihara for ASSTA Treasure (Nominated by Shunichi Ishihara, Seconded by Catherine Watson)
- Motion to change the fee structure for ASSTA from a fixed set of fees, to one where the ASSTA executive has the authority to review the fees
periodically. The ASSTA fees have been set at the current rates for over 10 years. These rates are very low, for the service ASSTA provides.

To change Clause 8 of the ASSTA constitution to be
- Members shall pay an annual Membership fee, the amount depending on whether they are an Ordinary Member, Associate Member, Student Member or Corporate Members, plus any applicable government taxes. There is no Membership fee for Life Members.
Fees will be set by the agreement of the Executive and will be reviewed periodically, at least every two years, after the Australasian International Speech Science and Technology conference and members will be provided 3 months advance notice of any changes.
- Motion to increase the length of time an ASSTA member has to pay their ASSTA fees before being removed as an ASSTA member

(b) by decision of the Executive when the Membership fee has not been paid within twelve months of the due date and within two months of a reminder notice sent to the Member
